Our social carers are dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable people in South Devon with extraordinary care and companionship. We don’t just care for our customers; we also care about them.

At Devon Home Care we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. You don’t need any previous qualifications or experience to become a social carer. It’s more important to us that our carers show kindness, patience and have a willingness to help others. Although we can’t teach compassion, we do provide all the training you need to be part of our professional team.

If you are successful in meeting our high standards you will never be thrown in at the deep end. You will be provided with a full induction, initial training and a uniform. Upon completing your initial training you will join one of our more experienced carers who will act as your mentor to help you understand the work we do. If you have displayed all the qualities we need from our carers during your probationary period we will be delighted to make you a permanent member of the team.

All of our social carers are rewarded with competitive rates of pay, flexible working and additional training when needed. Here at Devon Home Care we value all of our social carers and will continue to mentor you throughout your time with us to help you achieve your full potential.
